MICHAEL CRAME writes better with loud music and bad intentions. His novels take place primarily in the gritty, supernatural noir of a fictional New Orleans and the demimonde of parts unknown. When he's not writing, he tries to read some of the many unread books he's bought and accompanies this daunting challenge with a cup of coffee, tea, or an adult beverage of a spirit native to his hometown. A well-made cigar also helps.
